Im in the final editing stage of a book titled "You're alright..By God". It's a Biblicly based inspirational, focused on encouraging abused and neglected "people" to discover the promises of God, through his word. I am a born again Christian, and former abused and neglected foster child. Having survived the past, I am now on a new Journey, from guilt to grace. Through the book I am attempting to reach other children or adults who have experienced the pain of living through rejection and then surviving "the system". The goal of the book is to open the wounded heart to the prospect that salvation through Jesus Christ is available to everyone, regardless of where you come from, or what you've been through. By my testimoney I hope to be a living example of how Gods love can transform and heal even the lost, broken, and bitter soul. Which often results from being abused and rejected by your own parents, then becoming a statistic of the foster care system.

Am looking for a Christian Publisher to publish my book. Have 2 chapters, outline nd synopsis ready. This is the story of a former Major League Baseball player who must confront the reality of his alcoholism or die. He reaches this juncture after years of irrational denial, a period spent drinking away his health and family and career while gradually losing the will to live. Finally, on a summer night in 1981, the man kneels in prayer and acknowledges his addiction, and then, tearful and trembling, he asks for divine guidance and a chance to seek redemption. Sincerely, Eli Grba

Interrested in finding out more about publishing. Currently, we have 8 completed manuscripts. In addition, we are working on 4 more. Some are short stories, poetry books, and entire adventure series... which will be added to as time go by. All writings instill a sense of Christian principles either directly, or casually with fun and excitement. Some are written for the adult population, while others are written with children in mind.

On February 2,2000 my youngest son Luke, 12 years old at the time suffered a cardiac arrest which resulted in a lack of oxygen to the brain. The experience of this life changing event has inspired a book entitled Timothy and the Polka Dot Pony. Additionally from this life changing event our family established an internet ministry in May of 2000 - No Tears In Heaven, which is dedicated to the peace and love Christ Jesus offers to families and individuals during times of personal crisis. www.notearsinheaven.com. One visitor has commented this unique site is an “oasis of peace and calm in the present day.” Who Is the Book Written For?: The work is dedicated to parents, individuals and families who have a learning disabled child, with the intention of helping to compliment the educational and rehabilitation process of the child with special needs. The book includes 10 chapters with 10 chapters of Questions and Answers, reviewed by a ,licensed clinical psychologist, developmental neuropsychologist department of developmental pediatrics of a major children’s hospital The Q&A section supplement the story- allowing the parent to weigh the cognitive response of a special needs child and compliment the ongoing therapy of the child including observation for cognitive response in the areas of conceptualizing, generalizing, picking up on social cues and problem solving. Each module builds on the other teaching a continued trust and reliance on God when circumstances are beyond understanding. The book may be used in a home school environment,as a pre-school book for parents and other early education surroundings or domains which may involve a special needs child. The theme of the book intrically weaves virtues of hope, patience and trust, all embodied in the most important virtue love.

I have just completed my manuscript titled, WHO AM I TO NOT BELIEVE; One Jew's Encounter With The Christian Church. It traces my journey as a thick-necked Hebrew from Queens, New York, living my adult life in Atlanta, Georgia, who, through the efforts of my southern wife, my five year old twins, and a Michigan-born pastor very much like me – in a wasp-ish sort of way – is led to Christ in a church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I talk about my Jewish roots - what I call "casual" Judaism. I attended synagogue twice a year during the Jewish High Holy Days, got together with family for the Passover Seder, lit Hanukah candles, and at the age of thirteen celebrated mys Bar Mitzvah. That was the extent of “casual Judaism” – the type of religion practiced by 95% of all the Jewish people I have ever known. After being "coerced" into attending church by my wife and children, I hear a lot of Old Testament teaching, and it got me thinking: If they’re talking about the Old Testament in church, why aren’t they talking about the New Testament in synagogue? Did I miss something? As one of God’s chosen people, my spot in heaven is assured. Or is it?

A spiritual journey compiled of 28 "adventures," and it is called "My Road To Salvation." It is biblically based and demonstrates how God can use a believer in "great and wondrous ways." All they need do is make themselves available to be used mightily of Him. At the end of each chapter is a section entitled "My Own Road" which allows the reader to personalize and interact with what they have just read. This epic adventure opens with a failed suicide attempt, resulting in my name being written down in the "lambs book of life." Only to conclude with powerful example of God's manifold grace entitled "The Gift Goes On." This book pronmises to change the readers way of thinking, and will exhort them to a deeper revelation of God's Word.

Thank you for providing a service to help us "get started" in publishing our works. I have just finished a book on teen sexual purity. But the focus is on how we can help our teenagers make purity choices. Our usual approach is to tell them not do get involved sexually and leave the entire matter up to them. Or we "delegate" this life-shaping area of their lives to the "youth workers". It's time for us to help provide guidance and an atmosphere that nutures sexual purity.

I have previously written two Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels, one which a publisher expressed interest in. However, I have since decided to write Christian novels, and find it a better fit. I have just completed A Shadow in Eden, Book One in the Harstine Island Series. It deals with a widow and her struggles to reconcile her anger with God and His very real call to her heart. When a stalker's actions against her threatens her life, she learns that nothing is as important as God's promise of eternal life. I'm hoping to find a publisher for the series and to begin a ministry in writing Christian novels. God has previously used my talents to bring solace to others with verses in greeting cards.

I have found it frustrating that so many publishers will not accept unsolicited proposals. I appreciate the service that you offer and will be using it soon. I was raised on the Chronicals of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Although my story does not take place in our world, it does have the elements of christianity. There is a character resembling John the Baptist who cries "Repent," and "Make straight your paths," who is at odds against the current religious leaders of the day. The story surrounds the rediscovery of the Holy One's Law (ten commandments), and the prophecy of a coming redeemer, that the Holy One is sending so He can reunite with His creation. Most of all this is the story of a young girl who discovers the Holy One truly cares for her despite all the hardship she has been through and despite how insignificant her life seems.

I submitted three chapters of my first book about the life of the piece of timber used in the cross-bar of the Cross at Calvary. It started in 200B.C. when a sapling was planted through to 1954 at the Billy Graham Crusade at Harringay, England. I was rather disappointed that my material was declined mostly as my style is not fast-moving enough and would be tedious. I have read thousands of books in my life of 80 years and many of my favourites - classics - I have enjoyed even though tedious. I have written a dozen books now and have printed and published them myself. I have a very good following of fans but did hope to widen my circle.

I have completed 7 chapters of a book for children 6 to 9 years old. I have not settled on a title for the book, but am considering THE KID THAT WANTED TO FLY. The main character of the book is a young wild goat named William Kid. William is very mischievous and sometimes downright mean. His quests for excitement get him into heaps of trouble. Through the kindness of one man, Farmer Johnson, William's view of life completely turns around. He finds out that real freedom doesn't come from doing whatever you want to do, but from being under the care of a good master with abundant resources. The process of change in William's life doesn't come easy, though. When circumstances force him to face victims of his past pranks, he experiences forgiveness as well as reaping what he sowed. Along the way he also learns lessons about patience and not being too quick to judge. I'm grateful to Mrs. Lohr of BJU Press for telling me about The Writer's Edge. I plan to take advantage of this wonderful service. You should hear from me within two weeks, the Lord willing.

Many months ago I struggled with what I felt God telling me when I sensed He was telling me to write a book. Manuscript done, it sat on a shelf after months of recalling memories and heartbreak through my entire childhood. I was not sure if this "word" from God was for me to heal completely or if He wants to use me to help others heal. Being asked by the very few that knew about my project if I had sent in my manuscript is what I hope to be confirmation from God to send it to Writer's Edge. A week has about past since I made the trip to the postoffice and I think the waiting is harder than the writing right now. I am putting the finishing touch on a book titled "What the Church Does Not Want You to Know." This concerns conditionalism. I write a weekly newspaper column titled "Bible Questions" 100,000 circulation. The book is written in the language of the laity, no academia, although I have B.D, ThM. and PhD. I am an old codger aged 80. Will be sending something your way soon, according to your guide lines.

a useful site, full of information that encourages me very much. Can I, an English writer use the service? I am writing a book based on Scripture depicting incidents from the Gospels from the viewpoints of 'eyewitnesses' to these events. The book is is in a vigorous modern language and is aimed a young readers and young adults. I have had encouraging early responses from young people who have read the newly completed parts.

Have published two novels (POD) with Iuniverse.com and have been frustrated with my/their inability to get anything moving - copies sold. SoulSource: Had He Come to America Now is a fictional account of the life of Christ cast in the 21st Century (City of Chicago). Everything contained in the New Testament account is carried over and preserved, but explained in easy to understand paraphrase. Acts Too! The Twelve Walking-Talking Aliens, Their Exploits, Message and Legacy is a sequel to SoulSource. Acts Too! picks up on the aftermath of Jesus' death and resurrection. Further description for each of these books can be found at the Iuniverse website or at Amazon.com, et.al. I'm hopeful of finding a Christian publisher for the two novels through Writer's Edge resources. - Stan Howard.

I have a completed manuscript called "Checkmate." It is a novel about a detective who suffers from a disorder similar to Tourette's Syndrome and his sometimes serious, sometimes down right hilarious struggles to live a Christian life in a sin filled world. Full of action, suspense, and romance it gives readers an interesting story with several heart touching, real life examples of "living love" or maintaining your beliefs when faced with death and mayhem from the dark ruler of this old world.

Hi, my book is a journal of how God brought me through the battle of cancer. How God used scriptures, prayers, nutritional information, and doctors to bring me back to health and not die of this dreaded disease. I am still in the editting stage but I'm very excited about this service and I will use it when i'm ready to proceed.
